From Tuesday 1st December 2009 curator Zoe Shearman, Relational, Bristol cared for the sough dough starter during installation week of Arnolfini’s Craftivism exhibition. As part of Craftivism, Arnolfini café bar baked the starter into snacks which were distributed at the opening on Friday 11th December 2009 (6-8pm) and, with the Bakery at Bordeaux Quay, produced a supply of bread during the exhibition which continued until 14th February 2010. On 13 February an all day breadmaking event using the Cultural Capital starter was held in the Light Studio at Arnolfini as part of the larger 'Mash Up' event for Craftivism. It was facilitated by the bakery at Bordeaux Quay in Bristol. Around 30 people took part in 2 sessions, making bread which was then baked and taken home.
